History

Since 1952 the ministry of New Freedom Baptist Church has been committed to a firm stand upon God’s Word and to faithfully spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ (Matthew 28:19-20). Much of this can be attributed to the 49 years of unwavering godly leadership of Dr. Mark L. Hopkins who has been the embodiment of the Apostle Paul’s admonition: “Moreover it is required in stewards, that a man be found faithful (1 Corinthians 4:2)” His fidelity to preaching “thus saith the Lord” has yielded “fruit that remains” as evidenced in the countless lives that have been changed for eternity; many of which who have gone on to serve the Lord at N.F.B.C., or in full-time Christian service around the country and even around the world.

Pastor Mark Hopkins faithfully served as Pastor of New Freedom Baptist Church from 1968 to 2017.
